Climate scientists have made it very clear that human induced Global Warming is causing many environmental challenges. Awash is about the increasing “extreme weather events” experienced in countries around the world including Australia. Storms that flood cities and threaten ecosystems are no longer ‘one in a hundred year’ events.
In Awash I have distilled the pictorial elements for visual impact. An environment under pressure is conveyed through vibrant colours and bold abstract motifs to create a visual image that will hopefully lingers in the observer’s mind.
